The Greater Shallotte Ministerial Association (GSMA) has cancelled the final Lenten Luncheon Wednesdays for March 25th and April 1st. Plans are to hold these gatherings at a later date, perhaps after Easter.
The threat of the COVID-19 virus is real and serious. For safety sake, all worship services, meetings and group events have been cancelled for the month of April,2020.

St. Luke’s newly called minister, the Rev. Christian Eichorn, will preside over his inaugural service at St. Luke this Sunday, March 15, 2020. The worship service with holy communion is at 10 A.M. Adult Bible Study will be in the library at 9 A.M. All are welcome!
The Lenten Lunch & Meditation service for our area churches will take place at St. Luke on March 4th at noon. Rev. Farrell Graves, St. James Episcopal Church, Shallotte Presbyterian Church, will present the homily. The service theme is “The Surprise of being Found”. A $5 Love offering donation per meal is suggested. All donations go to The Lord’s Food Pantry, South Brunswick Interchurch Council, hosted by Camp UMC, Shallotte.
There will not be an evening Lenten Service at St. Luke this week.
The Imposition of Ashes with Holy Communion service will take place at 7 P.M. on Ash Wednesday, February 26th.
The Lenten Lunch & Meditation programs for our area churches will also begin on February 26th at noon. The service will be at St. Brendan the Navigator Roman Catholic Church, Shallotte. Rev. Suzanne Simpson, Shallotte Presbyterian Church, will present the homily. The service theme is “The Surprise of Prayerfulness”.
